Generative Design

Project Type

Photography

Date

April 2023

For this project, I was asked to create a generative design inspired by the Tramkade area in Den Bosch. I began by photographing various scenes around the site, capturing its unique textures and atmosphere. From these images, I developed a visual legend using different colors of tape—each color representing a specific material or element found in the photos.

I then invited people to interact with the project by taping what they observed from the images onto a grid. This participatory process led to vibrant, abstract patterns full of color and variation. I later digitized these compositions and transformed them into a series of bold, expressive posters.

The result is a playful blend of community input, urban observation, and visual experimentation.
