For this class project, the assignment was to create a custom typeface and design a poem using it. I drew inspiration from a Rupi Kaur poem that holds deep personal meaning. Taking an analogue approach, I experimented with burnt matchsticks and the organic forms they left behind, along with charred paper textures. The result was a raw, expressive design that visually echoes the emotion of the poem.
