Individual project

I worked on an individual project centered around material exploration and skill development. My goal was to better understand how to work with various materials and learn the techniques that make this process easier and more intuitive.

Over several weeks, I dove into a range of themes including bio-based design, textiles, paper, and stained glass. I explored both traditional and unconventional methods—sewing with a machine, creating stained glass art, dyeing fabric with avocado pits, making posters from recycled plastic bags, and even experimenting with bacteria as a medium.

Sustainability played a key role in this project. Most materials I used were recycled or had a previous life, adding unique character to the final pieces while minimizing environmental impact.

Beyond technical skills, this project taught me a lot about myself. I’ve learned that taking a different path doesn’t make my work any less valuable. Not everyone has to understand it—as long as it resonates with the right people, it’s doing what it’s meant to do.
